Medical Care
Our practice often encounters common geriatric conditions that can prove quite challenging to individuals without geriatric training. It is not unusual for our patients to present with unexplained complaints of fatigue, weakness, confusion, or delirium.
Many times this is due to polypharmacy (multiple drug usage). Patients are very often taking one medicine to treat the side effects of another medicine. This approach will only work for so long before larger problems begin.
The following links will provide you with some very good information regarding Geriatric Medical Care. Please note that this information is not all inclusive and should be used for informational purposes only, in conjunction with regular visits to your physician.
